Privacy & saved picks

Last updated: 8 September 2026

This page explains how Color Rivals uses data when you watch races, save predictions and build tracks. Contact us at colorrivalscom@gmail.com with a privacy question.

Your prediction record

Starting a scored race creates a first-party cookie named cr_player. It contains a random identifier so we can connect this browser to its saved picks. The server stores the race, chosen color, start time and completed result. Each prediction is kept for up to 90 days; the cookie expires after 90 days.

This is a browser record, not an account. We do not ask for your name or email to make predictions. You can remove the saved record with “Delete my prediction record” under “Privacy & saved picks” on the race page.

Optional usage counts

Analytics are off unless you allow them. If enabled, we count page views, race starts, playback milestones, completions, replays, next-race clicks and shares. We record the race label and a broad traffic source such as YouTube or a direct visit. These counts do not include your name, email or full referring URL.

Analytics totals are retained for 90 days. A random page-session identifier helps prevent duplicate counts. Short-lived hashed network identifiers help limit abuse. Your analytics choice is stored in this browser, and Browser Do Not Track is respected. You can change the choice on the race page.

Track builder and music

The builder can store drafts and editing information in your browser. Publishing a track sends its title and design to our race service and makes the resulting shared page available to anyone with its link. Avoid putting private information in track titles. Music preferences are saved in this browser. Clearing site data in your browser removes local preferences and drafts.

Hosting, links and email

Cloudflare serves this website and its saved-pick service. Hosting providers process network requests, including IP addresses and browser information, to deliver and protect the service. Social links open services with their own privacy policies. Contacting us by email shares your address and message with our email provider so we can reply.

Advertising

We have applied to Google AdSense. This version of the website contains publisher verification information but does not load Google advertising scripts or display ads. The publisher identifier in our page metadata and ads.txt file is public and does not identify visitors.

Before ads are enabled, we will update this notice and provide the applicable advertising consent controls. Our optional usage-count checkbox does not give consent to advertising. You can read how Google uses information from partner sites.
